So you have a video, but you don’t know what to save it as?

Watch Tutorial

In short

Best to test multiple formats, at different settings on the machine that will be running the multimedia. Play with setting to get a balance of reasonable file size and good video quality. Avoid uncommon codecs.

My preferences:

Windows Media (.wmv)

Bitrate Mode: Constant

Maximum Bitrate: 8000

Image quality: 100

Audio Format: 192kbps, 48 kHz, Stereo CBR (Doesn’t need to be this high)

For my own videos I normally save it as high quality .mov files.
