A good pizza base

Hi guys ,

If I say I’m a big fan of Masterchef, I’m probably in with about 85% of Australians. That show rocks! Admittedly, this season, I’m not so into the competition and am far more interested in the cooking, so all I do these days is read the recipes and watch the Masterclasses online.

Just last week I watched with great interest how to make a good pizza base. (This inspiration follows an almost disastrous pizza making effort with soggy pizza bases!) I was so impressed with just how simple it looked on TV (like everything people do on TV looks so simple!)

Chef Gary reinforced that the tip to a good pizza base is… you guess it… the yeast! Its the secret ingredient. You only a little bit in the right environment… and it goes a looooong way in making the perfect pizza.

The point of this? Well, I was mulling over the impact of a persons life. Is it really worth going good, loving people, standing my ground… when all of the above have seemingly short-lived impact? What difference does it make anyway for one person to do what’s right when all odds are against you? When the difference is so small it doesn’t even cause a ripple?

My thoughts brought me back in time to remember that significant moments of great victory were because brave individuals did what they knew to be right, never gave up the good fight, and never ceased to do good! Oscar Romero said: “You can’t do everything, but you can do something

I concluded at the end of my contemplation that I may not be able to change everything bad in the world, but I can do something in the direction of good!! Smalls things can make big changes! All you need a little bit of yeast through the flour… and baby, that pizza is to-die-for!
