Still hungry?
We are privileged to have Pastor John Jacks and his wife Monette, and Pastor John Tiplady minister to our Church for an entire week of presbyteries. For those of you who were at the Ablaze/MS Powerhouse session on Saturday night, there is no doubt that you would have felt God’s presence and sensed His irrevocable grace and love, and the Divine sense of destiny, purpose and calling He has for us, His church. I was personally moved at my very core with the word that God spoke to me through my direct prophecy and also when He spoke to others as well. (If you would like a copy of the recordings, just ask one of your life group leaders for the links!)
Interestingly, I noticed the spiritual atmosphere with the looming visitation of the prophets to our church was thick with expectation and anticipation. People fasted and prayed like never before. Most were no doubt motivated by a genuine desire to seek God for His will for their lives. Others begged for cleansing and repented like crazy for fear the prophets picked you out in the crowd and revealed in public what lurked in the dark of your life (gotta be honest - I fall into both categories!) The sense of anticipation was ripe, expectations were sky high, and the hunger was audible. Praise God!!
Amidst the ‘wow’ factor from the ministering on the weekend, one thing occured to me.
We were motivated to hunger after God with the visitation of some prophets over 1 weekend. What about hunger for God on the other 51 weeks of the year when the Living God Himself is in our very lives and in our weekly Services?
We desperately repented of the sins that could hinder the word of the Lord through the prophets. What about having clean hands and a pure heart daily to hear from the Lord Himself?
We were cloaked with awe, respect and reverance for prophets. Is this the same attitude we carry with the Omnipresence of Jesus - who is everywhere all the time?
It was a powerful weekend! Flames of zeal were re-kindled. Faith was fortified. Fear of the Lord in its rightful place.
God moved so powerfully because He could in the midst of soft, hungry hearts!
Let us as a Church, keep up this level of right-standing and desperation before the Lord! The prophets will soon leave our shores, but our Living God is here to stay!!

Hey Lisa….
I so agree…:)….once a year anticipation and repentance is def not the way it should be…but it should be an ongoing thing.
